Cassette tapes were everything!
Back in the 80's I had my WalkMan strapped to my hip, my headphones on, and I was jamming out to my favorite tunes on a mix cassette meticulously recorded off the radio.
There was nothing better than putting a mix tape that some one made for you, in to the cassette deck of your car, and learning through music how they really felt about you.
I still have stacks of cassettes that I had used to record my family and friends, talking, singing, eavesdropping... times that we can finally relive with just a little technical intervention.
